MTH Electric Trains, formally known as Mike's Train House, is an American model railroad manufacturer founded in 1980 and headquartered in Columbia, Maryland. The company traces its origins to the entrepreneurial efforts of founder Mike Wolf, who began selling trains as a young teenager and gradually built a mail-order business that eventually grew into one of the most prominent names in the hobby. While MTH earned its strongest reputation in O gauge and O scale manufacturing, the company also produced a range of HO scale products during its history.

MTH is perhaps best recognized in the broader hobby community for its innovations in electronic sound and control systems, particularly its Digital Command System known as DCS, and for bringing competitive pricing and modern manufacturing techniques to a hobby that had seen relatively little change over several decades. The company maintained a long and often contentious rivalry with Lionel that played out through lawsuits, competing product lines, and battles over intellectual property, all of which shaped the landscape of American toy train manufacturing in significant ways. In the HO scale market, MTH offered products under the Spectrum designation, contributing to a segment of the hobby that attracted serious modelers interested in detailed, ready-to-run equipment.

In January 2021, ScaleTrains.com announced the acquisition of MTH's HO and S scale tooling following the announcement that Mike Wolf would be retiring and the company would be winding down its operations. MTH subsequently relocated to Elkridge, Maryland and continued in a reduced capacity, focusing primarily on its remaining O gauge lines. The company's legacy in the hobby rests largely on its willingness to challenge industry norms and push competitors toward greater innovation and more accessible pricing for collectors and operators alike.
